Q. When are you open?

Q. Can I choose who I see?
A. We have an excellent team of male and female practitioners. If you have been recommended to see a particular practitioner we will of course do our upmost to accommodate this. However, you may have had a more general recommendation to the practice so we shall then offer you the next availability with the relevant practitioner for your condition.
Q. Is there a waiting list for treatment?
A. No! We can usually see you within 48 hours, although evening appointments are busier. We operate a cancellation list so if you can't be seen straight away you may be contacted earlier if an appointment becomes available, please ask for this service.
Q. How long are your appointments?

Q. Do I need a referral from a doctor, consultant or other medical professional?
A. No. At The Fane Clinic you can make an appointment without a referral from another medical professional. However, in certain circumstances you may be required by an insurance company or private health care cover to have this. In this case, we would suggest you check with your provider before starting treatment.
Q. What should I wear for a Sports Therapy Appointment?
A. We understand that removing clothing can be quite an embarrasing thing for some people. So we ask you to dress accordingly. Please wear or bring something that will allow us to see what we are treating whilst maintaining your modesty. Our practitioners will use the correct toweling techniques when able to but this can sometimes be difficult.
Q. When and how should I pay?
A. Payment is made after each treatment (when applicable) either by cash, debit or credit card.
Clinic policy is to register you on our system for which we will require a 50% deposit of your initial treatment cost on booking your appointment. This can be made over the phone or by visiting the clinic.
Q. Whats the difference between Podiatry and Chiropody?
A. Chiropody and Podiatry can be seperated into two areas of treatment carried out at The Fane Clinic. However there is some overlap...
Chiropody: Thickened Nails, Fungal Nails, In-Growing Nails, Corns, Callus, Dry Cracked Heels, Claw, Hammer and Mallet Toes - resulting in lesions on tops of toes, Verrucae and Warts, Dermatological Conditions/ Fungal Infections.
Podiatry: Achilles Tendonitis, Bunions, Plantar Fasciitis, Heel Pain/ Spur, Metatarsalgia, Morten's Neuroma, Over Pronation, Limb Length Discrepancy, Ankle Pain, Knee Pain - medial and lateral, Hip pain, Back Pain, Shin Pain, Sports Injuries, Walking and Gait Disorders.
Systemic Conditions: Diabetes, Rheumatoid TIA Peripheral Vascular Disease, Muscular Dystrophy, Cerebal Palsy, Multiple Sclerosis and conditions associated with neurological disorders.
Q. How many treatments will I need?
A. During your first appointment your practitioner will outline your treatment and discuss the number of treatments expected. Please remember every patient and condition is different so therefore times are estimations only.

A. We have free parking directly outside the clinic for patients attending an appointment.
